Nigeria international Esther Okoronkwo has demonstrated a remarkable act of empathy and compassion, offering to assist a young man caught stealing sardines from a local supermarket.
The incident unfolded on July 7th, 2024, when a CCTV camera at the supermarket captured a thief stealing four cans of sardines.

Super Falcons star shows mercy on petty thief
Despite the store's initial failure to apprehend the culprit, the young man, emboldened by his success, returned to the store with the intent to steal again. This time, the vigilant staff were able to catch him in the act.
Touched by the video and statement released by the supermarket, Okoronkwo took to her social media platforms to express her desire to help the unknown man.
"Can someone help find him? I'd love to buy him some food!" she posted on her Instagram stories and in the comment section.
Okoronkwo, a talented forward for the Super Falcons, is currently in Spain with the national team, preparing for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.
The striker is one of six forwards, including the renowned Asisat Oshoala and Jennifer Onyi Echegini, named by coach Randy Waldrum in the 18-woman squad for the global event.
