After his dream debut with Real Madrid, Endrick has earned a new nickname from his Real Madrid teammates
Members of Real Madrid’s squad have taken to Instagram to congratulate the club’s latest star Endrick after the teenage Brazilian forward scored in his first official match for Los Blancos.
Endrick makes dream Bernabeu debut
Real Madrid's young star Endrick made a stunning introduction to the Santiago Bernabeu, scoring his first goal for the club on his debut appearance in front of the Santiago Bernabeu crowd.
The 18-year-old Brazilian received the ball on the edge of the area, twisted past defenders, and unleashed a powerful shot that beat Real Valladolid's goalkeeper Karl Hein at the near post.
Endrick's goal also made him the youngest Real Madrid player to score on his LaLiga debut in the 21st century, at just 18 years and 35 days old. Additionally, he became the youngest foreign player to ever score a LaLiga goal for Real Madrid, netting just 10 minutes into his first official match with the team.
Real Madrid stars congratulate Endrick
Following the game, Endrick’s new teammates congratulated the Brazilian youngster on his historic achievement, leaving comments on a picture the 18-year-old posted after his debut.
First team stars including Vinicus Junior, Jude Bellingham, David Alaba, and Rodrygo Goes all left messages of support for Endrick, but they all called him “Bobby”, an apparent nickname for their new teammate.
The nickname comes from a previous comment by Endrick, where he claimed that his football icons were former Real Madrid great, Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton, who last played for the Red Devils 33 years before Endrick was born.
The Brazilian teenager was teased by fans online over his claim, and his love for the Manchester United legend has led to a new nickname for Endrick.
