The AS Monaco striker has been accused of tax evasion during his time in Sevilla.
Wissam Ben Yedder could be on the receiving end of Spanish justice following the latest reports from the media.
The 32-year-old France international striker, who featured for LaLiga club Sevilla between 2016 and 2019 now faces allegations of tax evasion and fraud during his spell in Spain.

The AS Monaco forward is accused of defrauding the Treasury more than €40,000, as well as falsifying the documentation corresponding to the 2017 income statement, which coincides with his stage in Nervión.
The Monaco star’s aim was allegedly with a view to covering some generated interests such as his sponsorship with the sports brand Adidas.
"Interest accumulated in the accounts of which it was the holder, such as income from real estate capital; and finally those who received from the exploitation of their image rights were not presented within the corresponding period of the tax declaration, "the Public Ministry was quoted to have said according to AS.
The report adds the Monaco footballer believed an entity under the name of SAS WBY Sport Consulting "with the sole purpose of hiding the income from these economic activities and thus not paying taxes for them".

According to reports, the Prosecutor's Office, which is behind this investigation, requests nine months in jail and a fine amounting to €150,000 for this fraud.
This investigation dates as far as 2019 at the time Tax Agency initiated a procedure in which it asked the player to present his correct taxation, but "he did not do it", according to the Public Ministry.
The French forward, who was aware of this situation, paid a payment of €225,323.25 to reduce his fronts with the Treasury, but it was not enough, since in total he owed €267,597.40.
Therefore, the footballer paid the State Tax Administration Agency a total of €51,007.41 plus interest, that is, the remaining amount, with the aim of reducing the aggravating factor of this crime.
However, the Public Ministry considers this movement insufficient because the player was aware of this document falsification, and therefore, re-affirms the sanction that can await the striker for this concealment of funds.

Ben Yedder will return to Seville this month to appear on February 15 before the First Section of the Audience of Seville to respond to this accusation, which may see the footballer end up in prison.
The indictment also includes the loss of tax benefits in Spain for six months.

The 32-year-old striker has continued to lead Monaco in attack this season as the club currently sit in fourth-place on the summit.
The French international has netted 12 times and created 2 assists in 18 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco this season.
The forward is set to return to Spain to answer to a tax evasion case in Seville, but before then he is expected to feature for Monaco when they host league leaders Paris St Germain at the Stade Louis II on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
