“It was a good performance and effort from the team,” Bianchi told Pulse Sports, adding; “You can see the difference in how we played against Raja Casablanca and here.”

“We have played against an experienced side in Horoya, but we were able to exert ourselves on the game, and that is a good sign. There are still 12 points to fight for so we try and fight for that.”

Bianchi was optimistic of a reaction from his side as they played infront of their home fans for the first time in the Champions League group stage.

And while they may not have provided a perfect evening, he can take solace for an improved and promising performance that saw his side create the better chances over 90 minutes.

The goalless draw also made it four consecutive games in all competitions without scoring a goal.

“I felt we played with much more intensity and speed. We created more chances than we did in earlier game. I know it is a shame we did not score again, but the goals will arrive for sure,” he stressed.

“Tactically I can see a lot of improvement, but it is still a journey for us but we can be confident that we are on the right path.”

“I know we still need time to adopt both the players to our methods and us learning them, but day by day we are working on the training pitch and we are improving.”

Vipers has now collected only one point from two games played, and following Simba’s heavy defeat to Raja, Vipers are now third in group C.
