Initially, the midfielder had been ruled out until the end of April.
In what is a huge boost for Manchester United, Christian Eriksen has returned to first-team training.
The Dane has been unavailable for United since late January after he sustained a heavy tackle from Andy Carroll in their FA Cup match against Reading.
He was initially ruled out until the end of this month with damage to his ankle ligament but has surprisingly made good progress in his recovery.
‘We will see. We see it from day to day," United boss Erik ten Hag recently said about his midfielder.
"He is progressing. He is now back only this week, in team training tomorrow [Thursday] and the day after tomorrow [Friday].
"We have two sessions. After that, we will decide if he is back in the squad again."

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder started all but one of United’s Premier League games before he picked up the injury early in the year.
His return is expected to be a big boost for the Red Devils, who are fighting to finish in the top four.
With 10 games remaining, United's hopes of finishing in the top-four suffered a setback after a 2-0 loss to close rivals Newcastle United but recovered with a 1-0 win over Brentford in their midweek game.
