Brazil have reportedly set a date to face Senegal in Lisbon as part of their efforts to combat racism in the sport

Brazil are set to play African champions Senegal as part of their anti-racism campaign following the abuse faced by Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior.

The Brazilian winger has been the victim of numerous instances of racial abuse in LaLiga, and after the latest incident at Valencia’s Mestalla Stadium, the Brazilian FA have decided to swing into action.

Vinicius was allegedly the victim of racist taunting during Real Madrid’s 1-0 LaLiga win over Valencia, and the Brazilian winger has received support from several quarters after the incident, including backing from Brazil’s FA.

In an effort to further combat the scourge of racism, Brazil have decided to organise two friendlies against African teams as a show of tolerance for other races and a show of solidarity with Vinicius.

The CBF, Brazilian football’s governing body believes this is a step in the right direction in combating racism in its own league and against its players in foreign leagues, especially Vinicius.

They have also launched a campaign against racism with the slogan "There is no game with racism,” which will be highlighted in Brazilian league games as they make a public stand against racial prejudice in football.
