Vipers SC head coach Leonard Martins Neiva is yet to tend in his resignation from his role, Pulse Sports Uganda reliably understands.
This contradicts reports that made rounds at the end of last week that the Brazilian had resigned following a spate of undesirable results.
"He is still in his role for now, that I can assure you. He hasn't resigned. That's all I can tell you," an official who preferred anonymity intimated to this website.
However, Neiva's job at Kitende is not entirely secure, as the top administrators aren't fully convinced with his tactical approach.
He oversaw the club's elimination from the CAF Champions League against a lowly Jwaneng Galaxy in the preliminary round, which didn't rub well with management.
A better performance than last season at the continent when they made group stages was high on the club's season objectives, but Neiva fell short.
That came from the club's 1-0 defeat to BUL FC, which ensured Vipers would not defend the FUFA Super 8 tournament.
The results could be more convincing, yet the team's style of play is also undesirable.
Vipers continue to target absolute dominance domestically as the basis towards writing their name huge on the continent.
