KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso has resigned from his position, credible reports have told Pulse Sports.
This follows mounting pressure that resulted from the club's latest abysmal results in both the Uganda Premier League and the Uganda Cup.
The spark was the exit from the Uganda Cup after suffering a 1-0 Noordin Bunjo-induced defeat to Soltilo Bright Stars FC at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Sunday.
The result came on the back of three successive UPL draws at the hands of lowly sides, including Maroons FC, Blacks Power FC and UPDF FC.
In the league currently, they lie second with 39 points, four adrift of leaders SC Villa who has played two games more.
Byekwaso signed a three-year permanent contract at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, in 2021 following a short interim spell that came at the back of the sacking of Mike Mutebi.
Last season, he finished second in the league, but with 18 points adrift of eventual winners Vipers SC, who went on to represent the country in the CAF Champions League.
At the time of his departure, it was reported that Byekwaso had lost a big patch of his dressing room, with most players not buying into his tactics.
It was also reported by this website that apart from club chairman Martin Ssekagya, the rest of the board was in support of his sacking.
