The forward has netted eight goals this season for troubled Talanta.
Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side Kakamega Homeboyz is keen on signing FC Talanta striker Brian Yakhama, according to reports.
Abana Abeingo Technical Director Edward Manoah wants to bring Yakhama, who has scored eight goals for his club this season, to Kakamega.
Homeboyz sees the 23-year-old star as a mid-season target, though they will face competition from Tusker.
Reports from Talanta camp claim Yakhama is among the three top players set to leave the financially troubled side.
Yakhama, goalkeeper Jairus Adira, and midfielder Gerson Likono are rumored to be on their way out of the club that has not paid players for the past 12 months.
However, Homeboyz are the favorites to land the striker due to his relationship with Manoah, who is closely monitoring the situation as Talanta have shown interest in letting go of their prized asset.
The striker is a son of former Kenya international Nick Yakhama and was instrumental in Talanta's promotion to FKF Premier League two seasons ago.
Yakhama, who has made a name for himself thanks to his speed, dribbling skills, and ability to adapt, can also play any position as a midfielder.
He is currently out of the field nursing injuries that he suffered in a road accident on Wednesday afternoon along Thika Road.
Kakamega Homebobyz are expected to go on a shopping spree inorder to strengthen their squad, which has yet to perform well this season.
Already the club chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has started effecting changes at the club which started with the sacking of coach John Baraza following a string of poor results.
Manoah is now doubling as acting head coach while John Waw has been appointed goalkeepers coach, replacing David Juma while the team captain Moses Mudavadi will serve as player-coach.
Kakamega Homeboyz are currently eighth on the league standings with 21 points from 15 matches.
