Soltilo Bright Stars FC will be threatening to put a stop to SC Villa's excellent run when the pair lock horns in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Tuesday at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
The Mwererwe-based outfit will, however, have to overcome its string of setbacks if they're to upset the current table leaders, who are on 37 points.
"It has been a bad moment, especially the last game where we lost 2-0 to URA FC, but we have worked hard, especially the mental aspect of the players," said Bright Stars' deputy head coach Tom Ssali to the club media.
While Bright Stars also lost to UPDF FC 1-0 over a week ago, Villa has, on the other hand, been flawless, winning each of their last four games, with the previous coming against Busoga United (1-0) but, Ssali insists Bright Stars is up and ready for the task.
"Yes, Villa is a strong team, but we are not afraid of them. We have prepared our team well, so I'm confident we will get something from the game tomorrow."
The buoyant Jogoo will be back in Kampala again in front of their most passionate fans after four months of hosting games at the Akii-Bua Memorial Stadium, Lira, due to hooliganism-related sanctions.
"Playing Villa at Wankulukuku will not affect us even though they will be home with their fans. We have played there before and had good results," a confident Ssali added.
The tactician, however, had concerns over his side's lack of potency in front of goal in the past two games.
"We have failed to find the net in the last games, and it's a concern, but we have worked hard to put it right. We have worked to rectify every area of concern, and I'm optimistic ahead of tomorrow."
Villa edged the last meeting in the first round 1-0 at Kavumba, with Charles Bbaale coming up big with the sole goal.
The record holders also hold the lion's share of victories in the previous league meetings. After 19 encounters, Villa have managed 10 wins over Bright Stars' three, while six games have ended in stalemates.
A home victory will see the Jackson Magera-coached side tighten its grip on the summit with 40 points, while pending results elsewhere, a Bright Stars' win could have them ascend to fifth with 27 points.
