The club announced the signing of the defender Monday afternoon.

Kato now joins a defence that already has Warren Bbuule, with whom he will look to form a formidable partnership at the back.
Kato’s future became uncertain after his departure from Rwanda’s Bugesera FC, favouring a move back to Uganda.

He then left KCCA FC in 2021 to join Bugesera FC in Rwanda.
