Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has praised the attitude of the Seagulls after a comprehensive victory against Wolves in the Premier League.

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi was a proud man after watching his team destroy Wolves at the Amex. 

De Zerbi’s Seagulls delivered a masterclass following a 6-0 demolition of their visitors in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Four of the goals were scored in a blistering first half display with two more added in the second half to ensure the Seagulls are now firmly in the conversation for European places.

The victory saw De Zerbi and his boys bounce back to winning ways following the shock 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest the last time. 

After the game, the Italian manager expressed his delight with the performance of his team, adding that it was an honour to manage a side with such passionate players with the right attitude.

"I'm delighted with the performance, and with my players too,” the Brighton boss told Premier League. 

“I'm lucky to work with these guys, it's an honour for me. They continue to show passion and good attitude despite the amount of games we're playing, and they did so well to bounce back from the previous two."

Brighton join race for Europe

Brighton are now within two points of European places.

A performance of authority and statement of intent saw a Brighton side without the trio of Kaoru Mitoma, Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo blitz past a hapless Wolves.

In their absence, the trio of Pascal Gross, Danny Welbeck and Deniz Undav netted a brace each to inspire the home side to a memorable evening at the Amex.

Julio Enciso was another star who shone like a diamond on the day as he was at his creative best after assisting two goals.

Following the win over Wolves, Brighton are now in the race for a place in Europe after moving to within two points of Tottenham, who occupy the last spot for Europe.
