Begging bowls have punctuated much of the second tier this season.
Coastal Heroes have appealed for financial aid totaling Sh124,000 to help them honor their upcoming National Super League match against Shabana at Simeon Nyachae Stadium in Kisii.
The Mombasa-based side will face Shabana on Sunday, May 21, and the club has sent a distress call to the supporters to bail them out ahead of the match.
" We come to you, our beloved fans, to ask for your support in our away match at Gusii Stadium in Kisii. Your generous contributions will be greatly appreciated.
Our budget is 124,500/- Kenya shillings. Let's join hands and support the boys,” the club said on their Facebook page.

BOXING: Mandonga versus Wanyonyi rematch confirmed in Nairobi
Wanyonyi will once again return to the ring on July 22 for a non- title fight against the Tanzanian boxer.
Last season they escaped the chop after the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) declared the 2021/2022 season null and void.
Heroes had been relegated to the third-tier league after failing to honor away fixtures against Shabana FC and Vihiga United.
Mohamed Ahmed Mchule’s coached side is currently placed 12th on NSL log with 28 points from 24 matches that they have played so far this season.
Their Sunday’s opponent Shabana who were inactive last weekend, are on top of the log with 54 points from the number of matches.
Coastal Heroes have been in the NSL since the 2017/18 season when they were promoted following a successful season in the FKF Division One league.
