The 2023 Uganda Beach Soccer League’s regular season will climax this weekend, according to the competition’s committee.

Mubs and Kampala International University’s fate was confirmed last week.

Vipers first won the Uganda Cup in 2016 when they beat Onduparaka at nakivubo and then an 8-1 over BUL two years ago.

The Church skipped two fixtures against Jinja Lions and St. Lawrence that were deflected to this weekend.

The top-table battle between Jinja Lions and St. Lawrence was skipped as well after the latter arrived late.

Playoffs

“Attached are the fixtures that mark the end of the regular season and the current table standings,” UBSA communicated on Tuesday morning in the statement that confirmed three teams had booked their slot in the playoffs.

“St. Lawrence, Mutoola and Jinja Lions have already booked their spots. The playoffs will be held on 18th June 2023 at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru,” the statement adds.

St. Lawrence currently leads the table standings with 34 points, followed by Mutoola (33) and Jinja Lions in third with 26.

MS Sand Lions occupy the fourth and last playoff slot but will have to avoid a loss on Sunday to go through.
