BUL has failed to win a league match since the year started, which has seen them derail from the Startimes Uganda Premier League race but have the Uganda Cup to salvage season.
BUL FC captain George Kasonko has called on his fellow players to increase their shifts to ensure the team returns to winning.
The self-proclaimed Eastern Giants have failed to win a league match since the year started, which has seen them derail from the championship tracks.
While the heat has been turned on to the interim head coach Simeone Masaba and his technical bench, Kasonko wants the players to step up to the occasion and fight to score goals.
“It’s not the responsibility of the strikers alone; everyone in the team can score so long as you’re on the pitch,” the midfielder urged his players.
The club has scored only two goals in their last six matches, including their 1-0 win over Onduparaka in the Cup.
“The coaches have tried to work on that and we hope the goals start flowing again.
Cup target
Kasonko was speaking ahead of their trip to Kavumba where they’ll face Police in the quarterfinal of the Stanbic Uganda Cup in a bid to salvage something from their otherwise tough season.
“There are no second chances in the Uganda Cup, so we must score the goals and win the game. We need everyone to turn up and push for that,” he continued.
BUL will continue to miss Emmanuel Kalyowa and Ibrahim Kazindula due to suspension as well as defenders Ronald Otti and Reagan Kalyowa who are injured.

UGANDA CUP Masaba’s BUL clutching at the last straw as Police knock
Masaba, who is very familiar with the phrase ‘form is temporary’, believes that his team’s form in the Uganda Premier League will not matter in the Uganda Cup, especially against a Police side lower than them in the ranks.
