The holders started well by thumping Mbarara Soccer Academy 5-0 in their first match on Tuesday but survived a scare on Wednesday after scraping a 1-0 win over Prosper.

Defending champions BUL FC Junior Team face the toughest challenge in their FUFA Junior League title defence when they play Vipers on Thursday in their third game in Njeru.

The holders started well by thumping Mbarara Soccer Academy 5-0 in their first match on Tuesday but survived a scare on Wednesday after scraping a 1-0 win over Prosper.

That put them level on points with Vipers at seven as the two former winners go head to head on Thursday.

Vipers carry the advantage as table-leaders after scoring eight in two games as compared to BUL, who have scored one less.

The young venoms know that they must get results against BUL before facing a tricky Prosper Academy in their final game on Friday.

Vipers are the most successful team after winning the 2015/16 and the 2017/18 championships.

In the other match of the day, Prosper will look to bounce back from their loss to BUL when they face Mbarara Soccer with a slim hope of winning the championship. They have collected four points so far.
