Aucho, who linked up with the rest of the squad on Thursday, says it's yet another season to give everything for the team, even more demanding as the fan's expectations have grown.
Uganda Cranes assistant captain Khalid Aucho is raring to go again with his club this season, starting with the international friendly against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
Aucho, who linked up with the rest of the squad on Thursday, says it's yet another season to give everything for the team, even more demanding as the fan's expectations have grown.
"I am happy to be back; it feels exciting to go again this season; we can only do our best as a team to perform better this season; God leads us," Aucho told Pulse Sports.
The international friendly marks the climax of Young Africans' annual week-long cooperate social responsibility activities in different parts of the country.
The Jangweni-based side will also use the capacity-filled event to introduce their new season signings, including Gift Fred, the Ugandan international who penned a three-year deal at the club.
New head coach Angel Miguel Gamondi is also looking forward to getting the season started on a positive note, insisting the club has bigger goals in the upcoming season as he called upon the fans to support the team.
"We expect to have bigger goals because this is a big club with many passionate and influential fans who want the club to continue performing even better, especially in international competitions," Aucho told club media.
"The game against Kaizer Chiefs is part of our preparations for the upcoming season," he added.
After the friendly, the 29-time Tanzanian league champions will shift their focus to defending the community shield title for a third straight time when they face Singida Fountain Gate in the semifinals.
