"Works to improve and prepare the stadium for inspection by FUFA will commence immediately to enable us to shift our home games back to our home ground."

Uganda Premier League outfit Busoga United FC have sought a change of host ground from the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

Busoga have signed an agreement with the Jinja South Division, who run the stadium, to use it for one season and a half, kickstarting this campaign.

"Today, we officially entered into an MOU with Jinja South Division over the use of Kakindu stadium and it's premises," the club confirmed on their official social media handles.

"The MOU is valid for 1½ (one and a half) football seasons. It was signed by the Jinja Southern Division town clerk and witnessed by the Jinja Southern Division  Mayor."

However, the FUFA Club Licensing Committee has yet to give a green light to Busoga's plea.

"Works to improve and prepare the stadium for inspection by FUFA will commence immediately to enable us to shift our home games back to our home ground."

It should be noted that the club has used the FUFA Technical Center this season to date, having left Kakindu, where they played for the past years.

Meanwhile, Busoga sit third from the base on the UPL log with 15 points in 16 matches.
