While KCCA beat Abu Salim 3-2 at St Mary's Stadium, Kitende, on Saturday, they got eliminated as they had lost the first leg 3-1 in Tunisia.

A section of the KCCA faithful have laid questions into Traguil's team selection, with the latter preferring the younger blood to the experienced lot.
"I have a squad of 27 outfield players and three goalkeepers, and that's 30 players available for selection," Traguil told the press after the win at Kitende.

Despite putting up a worthy fight, Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC were eliminated by Libyan side Abu Salim from the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
"Look, I don't have a first or second or third choice player on the team; who we decide to play is the right player at that moment."
"Every player is important in the team, and the fact is, the team played well, scored three goals but hard-done by some other things," he noted.

However, the Portuguese tactician stressed a number of players are yet to get to the required frame of mind to compete at the top level.
Traguil added: "We have a team and trust the players, it's a process that takes time. Unless you need me to field anyone for the sake, that's not just me."
KCCA are enduring a tough run, as they also lost the opening Uganda Premier League game last week, 1-0 against BUL FC.
