Alatanta settled for a draw against Celtic in their third UEFA Champions League game leaving them with just five points.
Ademola Lookman, who started the game, was looking to get back to his explosiveness after his poor outing against Venezia.
However, the Super Eagles winger was not at his best for the second time in a row, leading to another second-half substitution.
Atalanta were wasteful with their chances and were only able to secure a 0-0 draw at Gewiss Stadium.

As it happened
Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman made the starting eleven for Atalanta after a poor performance at the weekend against Venezia
The winger failed to impress in the game, which led to his manager Gian Piero Gasperini substituting him at halftime in their 2-0 win.
The first half of the game was dominated by Atalanta, but the Italian side found it had to break down Celtic despite having four shots on target.
Lookman, who has been one of Atalanta’s best players, also struggled to produce his best in the game.
Both teams tried to go all out in the second half but still could not find a way to break the deadlock.
As the game went on, Lookman’s performance did not improve, and he was substituted out in the 69th minute.
The game ended in a 0-0 draw, which leaves Atalanta in 12th position, three places away from automatic qualification to the next round.
