In response to growing concerns about Onana's condition, FECAFOOT released an official statement to provide clarity on the situation.
"The Cameroon Football Federation wishes to inform the public that the player André Onana, who sustained an injury during the match against Mauritius on November 17, 2023, in Douala, is not currently part of the delegation of the Indomitable Lions in Benghazi," the statement reads.
"Medical imaging conducted by the National Selection's doctors has revealed a pubis condition," it added.
Onana's injury comes at a crucial time for Manchester United as they are set to resume Premier League action with a challenging fixture against Everton immediately following the international break.
The absence of their star goalkeeper could pose a significant challenge for the team as they seek to maintain their position in the league standings.
