Ugandan champions Kampala Queens must beat Commercial Bank of Ethiopia to boost their chances of progressing to the semifinals of the CAF Women's Champions League qualifiers.
FUFA Women Super League champions Kampala Queens have no option but to beat Commercial Bank of Ethiopia when the two meet on the third day of the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers on Friday at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
The Ugandans lost 2-1 to Buja Queens from Burundi in their last game on Tuesday but have no room for further errors.
The result left Queens chasing the Ethiopians, who have collected a maximum of six points from two games.

Kampala Queens, Commerical Bank of Ethiopia and Buja Queens are all tied on three points in Group A.
Both Kampala and Buja Queens have accumulated only three points though the Ugandans are ahead due to a superior goal advantage.
However, that could count for nothing if they fail to beat the Ethiopians on Friday, putting in mind that Kampala will play FAD in their last game and finish their fixtures a day ahead of the Ethiopians and Burundians.

CBE will play Yei Joint Stars from South Sudan as Buja Queens face the minnows FAD, which could play a big factor in determining goal difference in case of a tie.
More rotation
Kampala’s coach Charles Ssenyange, who came under fire for his squad rotation following the win, has promised more rotation despite the criticisms.
“Changes in football will always happen,” the coach defended his rotation policy.
“We were only unlucky but did everything right; The group is now open, and that means tactically and mentally, there must be some changes in our next game,” he added.
Ssenyange was specifically criticized for dropping Elizabeth Nakigozi, who was involved in two of Fazila Ikwaput’s goals on the first day and delaying to throw in Rwandan striker Florence Imanizabayo.
The latter came on in the 78th minute replacing central midfielder Zainah Namuleme.
Imanizabayo caused troubles in the Burundian defense, eventually earning a freekick which Nakigozi spectacularly drove in for the consolation.
