Uganda face Algeria in the first round, with the first leg set for Saturday 16th September, at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru before flying to Algiers for the return a week later.
However, despite the disparity in rankings, the two sides are not far apart in their competitive records on the continent.

Uganda Crested Cranes’ makeshift coach, Ayub Khalifa, had been relieved of duty late last week, but his preferred successor, Abdallah Mubiru, apparently turned down the offer.
That means Khalifa, who had summoned the initial squad, will continue with the duty on Wednesday.
