Super Falcons Team News and Absentees
When the Super Falcons file out against Cape Verde, they will be without the services of star striker Asisat Oshoala.
The Barcelona Femeni forward withdrew from the squad that prosecuted the previous game against Cape Verde. Other absentees include Michelle Alozie, Jennifer Echegini, Ashleigh Plumptre, and Benfica's Christy Ucheibe.
Super Falcons Possible Line-up
Coach Justin Madugu will be looking to wrap up the WAFCON qualifiers in some style, but it won’t be surprising to see a few new faces get some game time.
Newcomer Omorinsola Babajide, who was part of the squad that thrashed Cape Verde the last time, is expected to get some minutes in this game.
However, coach Madugu will still rely on experienced players like Chiamaka Nnadozie, Deborah Abiodun, Toni Payne, and Uchenna Kanu.
Abiodun Deborah put in a stellar man-of-the-match performance in the last match, dominating the midfield, and is expected to retain her place for this game.
Also, Toni Payne is expected to dictate the tempo of the game from the middle of the park, while trusted stand-in captain Rasheedat Ajibade will provide some steel from the flanks.
