Tusker will have to beat Vihiga Bullets on Sunday and hope Gor Mahia fail to beat Nairobi City Stars to reclaim their title.
Tusker captain Humphrey Mieno has called on his teammates to squarely focus on getting three points against Vihiga Bullets on Sunday and shun title talk on the final match day of the season.
Tusker created a flurry of chances and should have won that match on several occasions, but had to settle for a point which put them on 66 points, two behind Gor Mahia who failed to beat Kakamega Homeboyz at the Kasarani Stadium at the same time.
The situation now feels like a missed opportunity for the brewers, who could have moved back to the top of the table considering the circumstances they found themselves in in the dying minutes of the match.

FKFPL Matano slams profligate Tusker striker after frustrating draw against Posta
The gaffer in no uncertain terms, made his feelings clear after the striker missed a flurry of chances.
“We are disappointed with this game because we created a lot of chances but we did not utilize them. All in all, it is a point gained, and hopefully, we are going to win it,” Mieno said.
“ We will approach that game with the seriousness it deserves because we are going all out for the three points. Whatever will happen in our next game is not in our control. We just have to keep our heads high and try to win our last match against Vihiga.”
Should Tusker fail to win the league, they still have another avenue of qualifying for continental football next season through the cup if they manage to beat Kakamega Homeboyz on Sunday, but Mieno insists the bridge will be crossed when the side get there.

FKFPL ‘We nearly qualified for AFCON’ - Zedekiah Zico Otieno looks back on his time as Kenya head coach
The former Gor Mahia defender nearly made Harambee Stars qualify for the 2012 AFCON as head coach.
“ Our focus remains squarely on the league. We cannot talk about the other game until the time comes. We can only focus squarely on Vihiga and try to win that game and then when the cup final comes, we will think about it.”
Tusker will face Vihiga Bullets on Sunday away at the Mumias Sports Complex while Gor Mahia face Nairobi City Stars in Kasarani. They are two points behind K’ogalo. They can still retain their title should they beat Vihiga and the green army lose or draw to to Nairobi City Stars.
Tusker are second on 66 points, while Gor remain top on 67.
