The award rewards an impressive month for the youngster, who scored four goals in two games against Real Betis and Rayo Valladolid to help his team grab crucial wins. He also performed strongly in Celta Vigo's slender defeat to Atletico Madrid and the draw against Real Sociedad.
According to LaLiga, Gabri Veiga was picked for the award ahead of other strong performances in the month, namely: Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong, Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga, Real Betis' Sergio Canales, Athletic Club's Oihan Sancet, Atletico Madrid's Reinildo Mandava, and Rayo Vallecano's Fran Garcia.

Veiga is on course to win the player of the season or the young player of the season, at least.
Veiga has scored an impressive eight goals this campaign; only eight players have outscored him in LaLiga this season, all of whom are strikers.
Veiga is one of the new breed of Spanish midfielders that are popping up all around the country, ones that are as adept at making late runs into the box as they are anti-press and technical.
