The 2023 AFCON Qualifier fixture between the Uganda Cranes and Algeria will be played in Douala, Cameroon, the FUFA president Moses Magogo has confirmed.
Magogo, who also confirmed June 18 as the date for the game rather than June 12 as earlier communicated,
"We are going to play the Algeria game in Douala," Magogo made the remarks on Thursday night while appearing on NBS Frontline, a political talk show on NBS TV.
He added: " We chose Cameroon. After all, they also offered a friendly since they won't have a qualifier because their group C only has three countries (Namibia and Burundi)."

The Budiope East Member of Parliament also explained why Tanzania and Rwanda weren't options FUFA opted for to host the Algeria game.
"Many people are asking why we didn't go for Kenya, Rwanda or Tanzania, but they also don't have facilities approved by CAF; only Tanzania has a stadium," Magogo stressed.
"But also, when we beat them (Tanzania), the lights went off for close to 40 minutes, but also, we are in the same group, which wouldn't add up.
