Charles Lukwago has won back-to-back Ethiopian Premier League titles with St. George.
The other players on their way out of the side include Ismael Ouro Agoro and Amanuel Michael.
Lukwago, who joined the side in September 2021, struggled with form last season, featuring 17 times but managing only four clean sheets and conceding 14 goals in the process.
The former KCCA FC goalminder has been linked with a move to the Rwanda Premier League, where some fellow Ugandan players have pitched camp.
Emmanuel Kalyowa’s three-year deal recently with Kiyovu SC, along with Simon Tamale and Taddeo Lwanga, who both joined Rayon Sport and APR, respectively, are some of the Ugandan players who have pitched camp in Rwanda ahead of the new season.
Lukwago started Uganda Cranes’ 1-0 loss friendly against DR. Congo earlier in June but was replaced by Salim Jamal in the 54th minute.
The former has recently fallen down the pecking order at the national team level.
The former KCCA FC captain who kept 19 clean sheets and conceded only 9 goals across 27 games in his debut season has won two league titles during his two-year stay at St George.
