Chelsea announced their retained list for next season, revealing the players who will be leaving the club as free agents this summer.
Tiemoue Bakayoko has been released by Chelsea after a torrid spell at the club.
Bakayoko released by Chelsea
Bakayoko arrived to huge acclaim in 2017, with Chelsea paying Monaco £40million for his services but struggled badly in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
He made 43 appearances under Antonio Conte and lifted the FA Cup but never really settled into the Chelsea midfield.
The French midfielder was shipped off to AC Milan on Lon the following season where he once again struggled before being loaned out again to Monaco the following year. Bakayoko was then loaned to AC Milan for the 2018-19 campaign.
He then spent the 2020-21 campaign back in Serie A on loan at Napoli before moving to Milan on two-year loan deal with the Frenchman making only 21 appearances over the course of the loan spell.
