Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea's young defender this summer.
Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, after his impressive performances while on loan at Brighton.
Liverpool interested in Colwill
According to the Independent, Liverpool have been monitoring his progress while on loan and are firmly interested in acquiring the young centre-back.
The report further states that Chelsea have been pleased with Colwill's progress and have no intention of letting him leave the club as things stand.
Brighton are also believed to be interested in bringing him back for next season bu at this stage, it is unlikely that the Blues will sanction another loan move for him.
Chelsea need defensive reinforcements, especially with players like Thiago Silva in their twilight years and still somehow managing to be the club's best defender.
Summer signing Kalidou Koulibaly has been hugely underwhelming so far, so it might make sense to keep Colwill around for next season.
Verdict - Sell Colwill for profit
While the 20-year-old defender could become a cornerstone for Chelsea in the future, he needs to play regularly and with the number of options at the back and the confusion around the club, he is best served to continue his career elsewhere.
After his successful loan spell at Brighton, the Blues will certainly field great offers for him and should cash in.
