The Blues are weighing their options as pressure continues to build on current manager Graham Potter.
Chelsea have drawn up a list of potential replacements to replace Graham Potter if their poor run of form continues under the English manager.
Potter is Chelsea’s current gaffer after he arrived from Brighton on a five-year deal following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel earlier this season.
Pressure builds on Potter
However, the 47-year-old has failed to turn around Chelsea’s fortunes, with the club struggling badly under his leadership.
Potter has won nine, drawn seven and lost ten of his 26 games in charge of Chelsea, averaging just 1.31 points per game.
Although the Chelsea board led by Todd Boehly remains fully behind Potter, the pressure is piling up on the English manager after winning just one of his last 11 games.
With Chelsea in a slump, The Blues authorities have drawn a list of potential replacements if Potter is unable to stop the slump.
Zidane and Enrique on Chelsea's list
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are currently looking at former Barcelona star Luis Enrique and ex-Real Madrid midfielder Zinedine Zidane as possible replacements for Potter.
Enrique and Zidane are two of the highly-rated managers around and are currently without a job.
Enrique recently left his role as Spain’s national team manager following La Roja’s second-round exit at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
However, the Spanish tactician is a solid manager after winning the treble with Barcelona in 2015.
Meanwhile, Zidane has been out of a job since his second stint as Madrid’s manager ended in 2021.
The former France international led Madrid to three successive Champions League titles and one La Liga title in his first spell before winning the league title in his second stint.
With a proven track record, Zidane and Enrique are on the list of Chelsea’s potential options to replace Potter should their slump continues.
Potter’s contract at Chelsea runs until 2027, but the former Brighton manager could lose his position at the end of the season if he does not turn the Blues’ fortunes around.
