The Blues’ ownership has changed in the last three years, and there have been rumours of disagreements among the club's investors. Some reports even suggest that a change in ownership could be on the horizon. However, part-owner Todd Boehly has spoken out to clear the air.
The American billionaire bought Chelsea in 2022 alongside Behdad Eghbali and Clearlake Capital. While he owns a 13% stake, Clearlake owns 61.5% of the club.

Speaking to Bloomberg UK, Boehly dismissed the rumours, saying that everything is fine between him and the other owners.
"What the media writes is not realistic," Boehly said. "We've been aligned on what we are trying to do and build. The current situation is just fine. We learn from each other and focus on the long-term goals."
He also stressed that they have a clear vision for the club. "We’re going to figure things out together. If you look at how the team has evolved, we are working towards the same goals. It’s a young team, and we’ve signed players on long-term contracts. These are new things, but they were planned. We are executing a strategy that will take Chelsea back to where it belongs. Right now, we are in the top four of the table."
Since taking over, the owners have spent over £1 billion ($1.3bn) on new players. Despite this, Chelsea’s performances on the pitch have not been as strong as expected.
