Chelsea consider Joao Felix an integral part of their current project and are considering means to make his loan deal permanent in the summer
Chelsea appear keen to secure the services of Portuguese star Joao Felix beyond this summer when his current loan deal expires according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea looking for permanent Joao Felix deal
The Blues will be looking to find a suitable deal that will allow Felix to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge instead of returning to Atletico Madrid when his current loan ends in the summer.
Chelsea paid an €11 million loan fee to Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window to take Joao Felix on a six-month-long deal with a view to making the move permanent in the future, and with the end of the season approaching, the Blues are now seeking means to keep the Portuguese player in their ranks for the long term.

The Portugal star had a debut to forget in his first game for Chelsea.
He is still seen by Chelsea’s bigwigs as an important part of their upheaval of the old club structure, and his performances are expected to improve as he becomes more familiar with his immediate surroundings
Despite only sitting 11th in the Premier League, Chelsea were still one of the most active teams in the world of football transfers this season, spending in excess of €600 million to sign new players across the summer and winter windows.
It is unlikely that they will be able to pay over the odds for Felix in the summer to extend his stay, but the player’s strong urge to leave the Wanda Metropolitano could see Atletico Madrid settle for a less expensive deal for the 23-year-old.

Felix was signed by Atletico Madrid as the most expensive teenager in the World in 2019 following a €127.2 million transfer from Benfica, but has so far been unable to live up to the hype that his teenage years brought about so a sale will be in the best interest of both parties.
