Free-spending Chelsea are reportedly planning a summer move for Victor Osimhen
Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Victor Osimhen and will make a move for the Napoli striker in the summer as part of their squad-rebuilding campaign.
The Nigerian striker has been in superb form this season with 17 goals in 21 games across all competitions for Napoli this season.
Osimhen's status as one of the best strikers in Europe has now put him in the crosshairs of Europe's highest spenders, Chelsea.
Chelsea set to move for Osimhen
The Mirror reports that Chelsea are turning their attention to Osimhen in a potential big-money transfer as they continue their search for a striker.
Chelsea are said to be interested in rivalling Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain for Osimhen's signature at the end of the season.
Napoli want around £100m for Osimhen but Todd Boehly and Co have proved they will pay whatever it takes to bring in the best young talent they can get their hands on.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was brought in last summer to provide the goals Chelsea have been lacking but he has struggled to replicate the form he showed at Barcelona.
The Gabonese has since been omitted from Graham Potter’s Champions League squad for the second half of the season with his days at Chelsea looking numbered.
That leaves Kai Havertz and young new signing Datro Fofana as the only striking options at the club with Nkunku set to join next summer.
That situation makes Osimhen's signing a top priority for Todd Boehly and the rest of the Chelsea board when the transfer window opens in June.
