Chelsea are reportedly set to give Graham Potter time to turn things around despite the disappointing period the club has endured recently.
Graham Potter is under huge pressure at Chelsea as performances and results have just not been good enough and the most recent defeat away to Tottenham increased the noise calling for his dismissal.
The Blues were utterly disappointing against Spurs at the weekend, offering nothing in the final third and totally deserved that defeat.
Fans booed loudly at the end and there have been calls for the manager to be dismissed after a run that now stands at 8 league games without a win.
Potter under mounting pressure
Chelsea are now 10th in the Premier League standings and in very real danger of missing out on European football next season.
Chelsea are also trailing 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund after a first leg defeat in the Champions League.
There have been rumours circulating that a defeat in their next league game, against Leeds, could leave Potter in a precarious situation but the club's owners have reportedly thrown their weight behind the manager.
Chelsea owners willing to give Potter time
According to a report in The Guardian, Chelsea’s owners, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have chosen to be patient with Graham Potter as they believe he needs time to turn things around.
They are aware of the bloated squad created by the addition of six first-team signings in January and want to at least wait for the addition of the forward Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig in the summer.
