After helping England reach the Euro 2024 final the player was given extra time off and did not travel on our summer tour of the USA.

Cole Palmer has resumed training at Chelsea’s Cobham facility following a well-deserved break after his Euro 2024 disappointment.

The young forward, who played a pivotal role for both Chelsea and England last season, took several weeks off to recover from the heartache of the tournament, where England was narrowly defeated by Spain in the final.

Palmer's return to training marks an exciting new chapter for him, especially as he meets Chelsea’s new head coach, Enzo Maresca.

Maresca, who made the switch from Leicester City to Chelsea earlier this summer, has been preparing for the upcoming Premier League season, and Palmer’s rejoining the squad is a significant boost for the team.

During his absence, Palmer was celebrated for his outstanding performance last season, scoring 25 goals and providing 15 assists across all competitions.

His contributions were instrumental in Chelsea securing a sixth-place finish in the Premier League.

Palmer’s presence is expected to be crucial in their bid for a stronger position and potential silverware.

Palmer's return to action could come as soon as Sunday, when Chelsea faces Inter in their final pre-season friendly.

Following this, the team will prepare to host defending champions Manchester City at Stamford Bridge for the Premier League opener.

With Palmer back in training and the new managerial leadership of Maresca, Chelsea fans have much to look forward to as the club aims to build on their recent performances and make a significant impact in the 2024-25 season.
