Elvis Noor Ojiambo has led Nairobi City Stars to second in the FKF Premier League, contributing significantly to their impressive season turnaround.

Defensive midfielder Elvis Noor Ojiambo has emerged as a pivotal figure in Nairobi City Stars' remarkable turnaround in the 2023/2024 FKF Premier League's first leg.

Simba wa Nairobi's ascent to the second position on the log has been nothing short of extraordinary, with their latest triumph being a 3-0 thumping of FC Talanta last weekend.

Reflecting on this success, Ojiambo expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance.

"Our season has now stabilized after a shaky start. Last season we had to endure and withstand lots of challenges, and we have been alive to that fact.

“That did not deter us, but it became our motivator and a driving force for the players," said Ojiambo, emphasizing the team's unwavering spirit in the face of adversity.

The former Kibera Black Stars maestro's leadership on the field has been instrumental in rallying his teammates, turning challenges into opportunities for growth and success.

“I am happy to contribute to the rise of the team, and on a personal level, I wish to add goals and assists to further push Simba wa Nairobi forward," he added.

In his fifth season with City Stars, Ojiambo's experience has been invaluable.

Having featured in 78 Premier League games – all with City Stars since the 2020-2021 FKF Premier League season – he has been a constant presence in the team's lineup.

This season, he has played in 14 of the 17 league games, clocking a total of 599 minutes on the pitch.

City Stars' current standing in the FKF Premier League is a testament to their collective effort and Ojiambo's leadership.

With 30 points from 17 matches, they are a force to be reckoned with in the league.

Looking ahead, Simba wa Nairobi are gearing up for their next challenge against Posta Rangers on Sunday, January 13, 2024.

The team hopes to replicate their earlier success against Rangers, where they secured a 1-0 victory in the first leg of the season.
