Nnaemeka died on his way home after officiating NPFL game.
The Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria has expressed deep shock over the tragic death of one of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) accredited Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) referees, the late Kingsley Nnaemeka from Abia state.
Late Nnaemeka officiated in the recently concluded NPFL matchday five between Nasarawa United and Plateau United.
The young referee died in a ghastly motor accident on his way back from Kaduna along the Lokoja-Enugu Road.
Club owners mourn Nnaemeka
According to a statement by the association jointly signed by the chairman, Isaac Danladi and the secretary, Alloy Chukwuemeka, Club Owners prayed for the repose of his soul and for God to grant his immediate family and friends the fortitude to bear the loss.
The club owners described his death as shocking and unfortunate, as it had cut short his promising career as a referee and his flourishing career as a young medical doctor.
