The former Cranes international, who took over the club's coaching reign in June 2022, is best known for his entertaining style at every club he has coached, and it wasn't any different at Mbeya City.
Mubiru says a lot was achieved on a personal and overall level despite the team's relegation while coaching in the mainland league.
"It was a worthwhile experience for me, that's for sure; coaching in the sixth-best-ranked African league is great; the electric atmosphere made it even more interesting," Mubiru told Pulse Sports.
"I was able to inculcate my style of play that I am best known for as I went toe to toe with the big boys in the league; that's something I am proud of," Mubiru added.
Mbeya City, under Abdullah Mubiru, was one of few sides last season that managed to get a point off Simba in the NBC Premier League.
Losing out 3-2 controversially in the first leg away before sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw in the return leg at home.
What Next?
The former KCCA FC, Vipers SC, Police FC and Uganda Cranes head coach is looking for the next job but is currently having family time after spending an entire season away working.
"My management is working around the clock to get me back on the touchline, that's for sure."
"In the meantime, I am enjoying spending quality time with my family because I have been away for a while," Mubiru added.
Abdullah Mubiru has been linked to several sides, including a move to the Kenya Premier League and a possible return to the Tanzania Premier League.
