The NSL side pleaded with their fans to use the pay bill number and help raise funds for the trip.
Coastal Heroes FC players and technical bench members finally departed from Mombasa for Kisii on Saturday after two days of uncertainty on whether they would travel for their league clash against Shabana.
The trip was under serious threat after the club needed to raise more funds before they reached out to fans for financial help, who bailed out the team for the 11-hour trip to the Western part of Kenya.
Heroes are expected to arrive on Saturday evening, less than 24 hours before they take on table leaders Shabana at the Simeon Nyachae Stadium in Kisii.
However, the delayed departure has not dampened the team's mood that edged Kibera Black Stars 1-0 in their last fixture.
