We evaluated the top five Premier League stars who saw the biggest rise in their market value.

Performances in the 23/24 Premier League season have seen vertical movements in opposite directions for player squad values. This season had a lot of heroes; we had young debutants, breakout stars and Premier League veterans all perform for their various clubs and this has had an effect on their transfer value.

This article delves into the top 5 players who have seen the most exponential rise:

Cole palmer

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer is unsurprisingly at the top of this list, as the 22-year-old is the Premier League breakout star of the season. He signed only one year ago from Manchester City for a €40 million fee, while his market value was around €18 million.

The England international’s value has witnessed a meteoric rise to €80 million. A €65 million difference from last season.

Palmer was a shining light in an otherwise gloomy Chelsea season; he had received both the Premier League Young Player of the Season and Game Changer of the Season Awards.

He made 33 goal contributions in 34 league games for Chelsea, with only Harry Kane and Kylian Mbbape having more in Europe’s top 5 League

Kobbie Mainoo

The 19-year-old Manchester United star is the second player with the largest increase in transfer value in the Premier League this season. Although the British-Ghanaian midfielder made his debut for Manchester United last season, playing once in the Premier League, it was this season that he was truly involved in first-team dynamics.

Despite an injury setback that sidelined him for 23 games for the Red Devils after a spectacular pre-season, Mainoo stamped his mark on the team and immediately made himself a key component upon his return.

From an €800k valuation at the start of the season, Mainoo has seen his price tag rise to €50 million, according to Transfermarkt, a difference of €49 million plus.

Phil Foden

If Premier League titles are to go by, Foden, 24, is a Premier League veteran. The Manchester City ace had a spectacular campaign in which he helped the Cityzens to a fourth consecutive Premier League despite the long-term absence of Kevin De Bruyne and, to a lesser degree, Erling Haaland, which earned him the Premier League Player of the Season award.

Foden scored 19 goals and provided 8 assists in the note-worthy season, all of which have helped his value skyrocket to €150 million from a previous €110 million at the start of the season, an increase of €40 million.

Jeremy Doku

Although Manchester City signed Doku in the Summer for a reported €60 million fee, his market value at the time was a mere €28 million; that value has now seen a significant rise to €65 million after a Premier League winning Season

Murillo

Nottingham Forest’s Murillo is the only defender on this list. The 21-year-old joined the Tricky Trees from Brazilian side Corinthians in the summer for a 12 million fee.

His market value at the time was €500k and after a season in which Murillo was one of the standout defenders in the English top flight, his valuation shot up to €35 million, a €34.5 million difference.
