Mathare United lost their last two games against Kenya Police and KCB against the run of play.
Mathare United head coach Collins Korea Omondi says he is impressed with his charges’ improved performances despite a lack of results in the team but insists on goals and wins if they are to survive relegation.
Korea has lost all four games in charge since taking over the Slum Boys at the beginning of May, but in their last two matches against Kenya Police FC and KCB, they were arguably the better side based on their performance but failed to win both games.

The 31-year-old turned out for Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur during his time in England.
“Before I came here, the side had no cohesion. The level of fitness was also down because in the last nine games prior to my arrival, the team was tending to concede goals in the opening 15 minutes, so the level of concentration was usually affected,” Korea said.
“If you look at the Kenya Police and KCB losses, yes, we conceded, but in the latter stages of the match, not like before due to small mistakes (having dominated the games).

FKFPL Korea tells Mathare United charges what they must do to avoid relegation
The Slum Boys are currently 11 points adrift of safety with three matches left to play.
“The team has found a sense of cohesion and the levels of fitness have gone up. You can see what we are trying to do both in defense and in attack. However, we have to cut the bad luck out and start scoring goals if we are to stay up."
Mathare are currently 17th on 22 points, two adrift of safety. They will have to win all their remaining games and hope that Wazito fail to take advantage of their own battles if they are to stand a chance of at least making the relegation playoffs against the third-placed National Super League side (NSL) at the end of the regular season.
