A week after clinching their maiden FUFA Women's Super League title, Kampala Queens WFC has been dumped out of the FUFA Women's Cup at the expense of Kawempe Muslim Ladies.
The latter humiliated the Queens in a 5-1 drubbing at the Cup's quarterfinal at the Islamic University in Ugansa, Kabojja grounds on Sunday.
The League champions looked uninterested, lacked character, effort and fight, and were as a result dominated in every aspect as their dream for a domestic double went down the ditches.
Phionah Nabulime, Shakirah Nyinagahirwa, Agnes Nabukenya, Allen Nassazi and Aisha Nantongo masterminded the victory for Kawempe, while Lukia Namubiru netted the consolation.
Nabulime needed just 12 minutes to put the guests in front, before the Queens grabbed the equalizer in the 35th minute through Namubiru, who also served as the day's captain.
Six minutes after restart, Kawempe added a second through Nabukenya's brilliant effort past goalkeeper Daisy Nakaziro.
Nyinagahirwa then added a third five minutes after the hour-mark, before Nassazi added a fourth eight minutes later.
Kawempe Muslim's party was then wrapped by Nantongo's 80th minute penalty, to send the visitors to the semi-finals.
Kawempe Muslim joins She Maroons FC, who edged Olila H/S 2-1 on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Makerere University WFC hosts Uganda Martyrs, while St Noa will be home against Asubo Gafford later on Sunday.
