The 2023 edition will feature three former champions and the runners-up of the 2013 Federation Cup.
Attention will turn to the semifinal stage of Nigeria's Federation Cup after four teams secured their places in the last four on Sunday.
The semifinal of the competition will see these four teams, aim to replace already knocked-out Bayelsa United as Nigeria's new cup champions, as well as, secure themselves a place in next season's CAF Confederation Cup.

For Bendel Insurance - champions in 1972, 1978 and 1980 - victory in the semifinal could see them go a step closer to their first Cup title in 43 years.
Meanwhile, Warri Wolves - the only second division side in this stage will hope to make finals again for the first time since 2013 when they lost the Federation Cup to Enyimba on penalties.
Jos-based Plateau United who won their first and only Federation Cup in 1999, will bank on making 2023 their second, should they scale the next round.
Rangers (champions in 1974, 1975, 1976, 1981, 1983 and 2018) go into the semifinals as the most experienced side in this competition. They are the third side to have won the most cup titles in Nigeria - after Shooting Stars (8) and defunct Lagos Railways FC (8).
