Czech Republic giants Slavia Prague have taken to social media to celebrate their talented defender Igoh Ogbu after he received his first call-up to the Nigerian Super Eagles.
The 25-year-old centre-back was included in the 39-man provisional squad by new Super Eagles boss Eric Sekou Chelle for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Super Eagles hopeful Igoh Ogbu has boldly stated that he is not afraid to take on any striker in the world.
Ogbu's selection marks a significant milestone in his international football journey, as he is set to become one of the new faces tasked with revitalising the Super Eagles' defence.
New boss Chelle named a 10-man defence led by skipper William Troost-Ekong, with Ogbu and Rangers’ Ifeanyi Onyebuchi as the latest additions.
Slavia Prague expressed their pride in Ogbu's achievement, posting on their social media account, X.

Ogbu's football career began with Gombe United in Nigeria before he moved to Europe in 2018, joining Rosenborg in Norway.
He gained prominence during the 2021-2022 season, playing over 50 matches for Lillestrom.
In January 2023, he signed a three-year contract with Slavia Prague, where he has featured in 86 matches, including 27 games this season, scoring four goals.
Ogbu also has experience representing Nigeria at the youth level, having played for the U20 team at the 2019 AFCON U20 and the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup.
