Real Madrid shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois has revealed what they did to keep Manchester City's superstar goalscorer Erling Haaland quiet for the duration of the encounter.
Setting up a tantalising second leg at the Etihad, Los Blancos and City fought to a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu.
In the 36th minute, Vinicius scored a stunning goal to give the home team the lead. However, Kevin de Bruyne quickly repaid the favour in the 67th minute with another spectacular goal to tie the score in the fiercely contested match.

He revealed that they avoided affording him space to run behind, setting a deeper block to prevent this, and long balls from Ederson.
"If you want to defend against Haaland, you don't give him the space to run. We tried to avoid that. We played well. As a consequence, they shot more from distance. It pushed us deeper," he said, per the BBC.
