Video: Cristiano Ronaldo demands referee replacement, with fans saying "he owns the league"
Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo was so upset with the referee that he wanted to be replaced during their King Cup clash.
Ronaldo for Al Nassr
The 38-year-old appears not to be slowing down any time soon after another stunning display for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, Ronaldo netted a remarkable long-range strike against Al-Khaleej to continue his fantastic scoring streak for the club.
It was a strike that inspired Al Nassr to another victory in the Pro League, with former Manchester City defender, Aymeric Laporte, also on the score sheet.
Ronaldo’s strike against Al-Khaleej took his tally to 14 goals in 19 appearances for Al Nassr in all competitions and his manager can’t be effusive enough.
Praise for Ronaldo
Following the performance and goal, Al Nassr's coach believes there is no player in the world at the moment better than his forward.
According to a Sportskeeda report, Castro noted that the Portuguese star is the number one in the world and an example for others in the game.
“He makes everything look easy,” the Al Nassr stated. “It’s a fantastic goal. Cristiano is number one in the world.”
“He is a fantastic person and professional. It’s incredible. For me, he’s an example for all the world and deserves the best always,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo was a notable omission as Castro, who replaced Napoli’s Rudi Garcia in the Saudi Pro League club in July led Al Nassr to another win in the league.
Pulse Sports Nigeria reported that in the absence of the GOAT, Brazilian star Talisca netted a brace to inspire the club to a win in the five-goal thriller.
