Cristiano Ronaldo had clashed with a Television channel and a newspaper in the build-up to the Euro 2016 Championship.
Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly extended a hand of generosity to employees of a media house he openly criticised and took legal action against years ago.
Ronaldo, the former Manchester United and Juventus star, who now plays for Al Nassr, found himself at odds with a television channel and a newspaper affiliated with a particular editorial group.

Ronaldo’s altercation with the group
According to a report by Marca, the conflicts started after Ronaldo disapproved of information published by the newspaper, which he believed created a negative atmosphere in the national team at the time.
This led to a legal battle in 2011 and 2015, with the 38-year-old accusing the group of a lack of respect and penchant for inventing controversies.
Also, a notable incident was during the Euro 2016 when Ronaldo, who is regarded as the greatest of all time, was left frustrated and seized a journalist’s microphone which he threw into a nearby lake.
This tension between the star and the media painted a bad and irreversible picture of a strained relationship.
Ronaldo shows compassion
However, per the Marca report, there is a new twist in the incident after a kind gesture from the man himself, Ronaldo.
The Al Nassr star has reportedly decided to express gratitude to the workers of the same media group, with cash compensation of around 1,250 euros.
Ronaldo, in making the kind gesture, also left a wonderful note for the group.
“In gratitude to all those who are part of this great company and we every day sweat the shirt for it,” he stated.
This move by the forward, who now plays in the Saudi Pro League, signifies a remarkable shift that indicates a willingness to let bygones be bygones.
Also, it fosters a more positive relationship between him and the individuals he had clashed with in the past.
