The goal was so reminiscent of his brilliant URA FC days when he easily terrorized defences and scored.

Striker Cromwell Rwothomio struck in style for West Nile Province as they edged Busoga Province in the FUFA Drum at the Paridi Stadium to remind the world of his quality.

Rwothomio struck with relative power, precision and a true forward's instinct to break the deadlock early in the second half of the Sunday encounter.

The goal was so reminiscent of his brilliant URA FC days when he easily terrorized defences and scored with absolute ease.

On the evening, Cromwell Rwothomio was just that; a total menace to the Busoga backline as he kept them working for the entire 90.

Meanwhile, Junior Andama netted West Nile's second, while Ibrahim Kazindula scored for Busoga.

It should be noted that while he's yet to formalize his departure from parent club Vipers SC, Rwothomio is deemed surplus to requirements and was left out of next season's squad.

Reports have recently indicated how the powerful striker intends to sue Vipers after the club allegedly denied him an exit, as he still has a running contract.

He signed a two-year employment contract when he joined the Venoms at the start of the 2022/23 campaign.

In his only season at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende, he scored just three goals across competitions, a low return given his undoubted ability.

Rwothomio has been linked to a move to Arua Hill SC, while other reports have linked him to a move to Egyptian side Wadi Degla.
