BUL FC interim head coach Simeon Masaba is under immense pressure to turn his side's fortunes around as they prepare for their quarter-final clash against Police FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the Kavumba Recreation grounds.

BUL has had a tough run of form in the league, going seven games without registering a win, and Masaba knows that his team needs to find their form if they are to have a chance of retaining their Uganda Cup title.

The current holders have struggled in front of goal this season, and Masaba is well aware that they need to start scoring goals if they are to keep their cup run alive.

“We have a challenge of not scoring goals so we have done our best to sharpen the strikers since winning this competition you have to score goals,” Masaba said.

The coach is also facing several injury and suspension concerns, with Ronald Otti, Reagan Kalyowa, and Ibrahim Kazindula all sidelined.

Masaba will also be without the services of Emmanuel Kalyowa, who is suspended for the match.

However, Masaba remains optimistic and is hoping that his team can use their cup run as a springboard to turn their season around.

"It is hard times at the club, we greatly need the fans to rally behind us as well as putting us in their prayers," he said.

BUL FC will be facing a Police FC side that has already eliminated fellow FUFA Big League side, Ndejje University, to reach this stage of the competition.

The hosts will be without Reagan Male and Shafik Avemah due to injuries while Shakibu Kirabira Mabirizi will undergo a late fitness test.

The quarter-final clash promises to be a highly competitive encounter, and both teams will be desperate to progress to the next round.

BUL FC will be hoping that their experience and quality will shine through, while Police FC will be looking to cause an upset and book their place in the semi-finals.
